This is the centre label I made in Florence in 1980 while I was back in Italy for several months. Late one night Biafra called me long distance, insisting I drop everything and design a centre piece for the 45 rpm ("Police Truck") he was fixing to release. It took me three days (the only three sunny days in the midst of several weeks of summer rain...) I also did the front cover. It cost me a good deal to special mail it to Biafra so it would arrive in time. Then, upon returning to America months later, I found out he never used my designs and stuck some random photo in its place and a generic centre piece. I was never reimbursed for my artwork or the expensive postal charges. At the lower right can be seen my notes (in Italian) "Il centro del disco va ridotto a 5 centimitri". (The centre of the disc needs to be reduced by 5 centimitres.). The unique font spelling our Police Truck was especially designed for this release.
